How many of you have thoughts that just come out of your head, I mean the thoughts that you actually verbalize? You know the ones that when nobody is around, you just say? You could be moping your floor, sitting at the desk at work, or standing in line at the supermarket.......You just blurt out a piece of a song, or a piece of a sentence, or what you need to do next in order to get thru the day. I do it all the time, strangers smile that weird smile, you know the one, "She's a strange one, hide the kids, this one is going to blow!"
When I was pregnant with my oldest, I had a song stuck in my head for about two mnths, and sometimes it would just escape my lips, boy that was scary, too scary for words, and to top it all off, I didn't even like the song, and it was old at that!
"Me and Julio, down by the schoolyard," Paul Simon. Listen to it the next time you hear it on the radio, it will drive you insane, youwill be humming it for days. I promise.
Hey, thank you to Cathy, from Baltimore-DC area. You are the first person that I am not related to or "good friends with" person to even admit that they read my blog, let alone tell me that they enjoy it! That was a good ego boost. By the way, how did yo find it?
Anyway, the weather here hasn't changed, still hot and humid, no end in sight, and yes, I can sympathize with all of you out there with no air conditioning, my husband hasn't popped the ones we have in the windows, and this house doesn't cool well in the summer. For some reason the brilliant builder, 40 years ago, didn't think the concept of cross breezes was a good idea. I can't imagine why I would want something like that to be incorporated into a house, can you?
And, by the way, Tom, I wouldn't be able to live in northern Iraq, humid or not, heat is heat, golly, I hope that you have air at night!

LOL, Miki....I don't know, I've found a few good blogs just surfing around/through "blogger". Many never made it to my blog favorites folder, but yours did, and I read every entry.....I'm pretty hooked, but also a very quiet observer/lurker (usually!).
It's still unbelievably H&H here, but tomorrow it *supposed* to be better. Let's hope. Sorry to hear your house has no cross-ventilation. Ours is actually pretty good for that, but if there's no breeze, there's NO BREEZE, yk?!?!
I'm right there with ya on the "thinking outloud" bit!! Thought everyone did it?! LOL
