Ok, so, I have a few minutes, literally, becasue I have to take that hated trip down the road to the dentist! I like my dentist, she is funny, intelligent, and very caring. I just don't like the thought of the dentist. I have this bridge in my mouth, less than a year old, and at a BBQ last weekend, I bit into a dorito chip and "CRUNCH." The loudest sound you would ever want to hear, and guess what, the teeth from the bridge cracked in half! I mean if I was eating something very hard, or very large, but a dorito??????? I was so annoyed, and I know when I see the dentist, she will be flaberghasted!
Anyway, this week has been a week of good things, and of disapointments.
My oldest son, Patrick, was chosen after a tryout, to be on the WIlliamsport tournament team for his baseball league. For those of you who don't know, that is the Little League World series tournament. He was on the team two years ago, and even though they didn't go far, it was the thrill of his life. Theoretically, this team could go as far as Pensylvania, to the LL world series.
So that wsa a thrill to be chosen,. Last evening, he went to the first practice. NOw mind you, I was upfront with the coach, telling him that we, as a family wouldn't be here on LI for fourth of July weekend, Daniel, my other son, has a tournament in PA. Ok, he understood, and took patrick on the team anyway.
After the practice, after I got everyone settled, at 930 at night, the coach calls................sorry, I can't add him to the roster, I need the roster filled with kids who can be there that weekend, we have a game on the 2nd. Now, I have to dissapoint my son, so I did. He is such a great kid, he understood, no matter how upset he was, he told me that he was behind Daniel,100%. I hate to see that look on his face, I hate that it is there, but I know he will get over it faster than I will, he is that kind of kid. anyway, have to stop writing for now, the Dentist chair beckons!
