Can't Wait For School!

Today's weather dawned much like yesterday's, downright damp and chilly. An oddity for this time of year. We are usually swealtering in the hot mugginess of the dog days of August right about now. That being said, the kids are restless. They are staying in the house a lot because along with the dampness comes the rain. It rains, it pours and it stops, leaving the chill in the air! So, Mommy can't wait for school to start. We begin the first week in September. The summer vacation goes on too long, way too long. Kids reach a point of boredom and have the ablility to drive me insane! Thanks goodness that Danny has his friend Mikey come two days a week or I would go nuts. Patrick started practice for the JV football team, and he comes home smelling like an animal cage, wet from sweat, needing a shower and arest. FOr the past two days, he has been extreemely sore. SO has been very cranky with himself, his sister and us. Danny slept at his other friend's home last night and the two of them arrived to sleep here tonite. Cassidy, well, she has reached a stage of "entertain me or feed me, and I will nag you until you do!" It is time for school to start, so that they can stop looking to me for entertainment, do their homework, settle into a routine and that is that! I am weary, I have been getting up at the crack before dawn to get Patrick to his practice, and then getting some things done before having to pick him up.
SO I can't wait for school! Maybe if I do Dorothy, and click my heels together three times, I will
get school started earlier?????????

Not to worry, I'll send the heat we're getting right on over. You got the cool and damp we just got over up here in Cleveland. By Friday, we'll be up to 90. So, I'll send it right by so you and yours can get your fall colds early. HATE THIS WEATHER! But, can't wait for school to start for Cassi AND me.

Send us some of that COOL air! We are melting and drying up here with no rain.

School here has started and the routines have set in. Not at my house of course but for others! Go ahead and click your heels and see if it works! :)

I guess it's a good thing kids are going back to school. I am so out of that loop these days.
We have had nothing but rain since the weekend but today was dry and we are headed for the 90's once again. That's ok with me. I am not too fond of rain.

About odds and ends below, I'm glad to hear you're at the end of one phase and on to the next. I guess the lad leaving the team may not be the best for him but I know that when someone becomes unhappy with something, (anything) it's best if they remove themselves from the situation. They might get traction and that would be bad.
About this post, if you do Dorothy too many time you'll be taken away to the loony bin. But it would be restfull. School started here last week. Happy parents galore.
You have an invitation awaiting on my latest post Miki.
