Did you ever have a silly arguement with your spouse or significant other? Did it seem so important that it was worth not speaking to him/her at the time? Well, let me tell you, I can hold a grudge. I don't know why, but I can. I haven't spoken to my spouse, except for a few words here and there since about 5pm last night. He did something that didn't sit well with me, I told him so, and he said quite a few nasty and derogatory things to me, which I countered with some of my own. Then, POOF, I don't speak. I am not blaming it all on him, nor am I taking all of the blame. No one is totally blameless here, so I am stuck in not talk mode. I have chosen to stay there, because it is me who usually breaks the silence, as it were, and says the "I'm sorry." I do it even when I know I shouldn't and when I am not to blame. I do it to keep the peace. I always keep the peace. It is part of my job, and part of my makeup.
But enought about that...
Daniel had to be picked up from school yesterday, so we had to make a jaunt to the doc's office this morning. He has what we commonly refer to as "pink eye" nothing out of the ordinary, just redness and drainage. He needs drops to clear it. At first, I thought it could be his allergies that were causing it, with the change in weather and all, but then last night and this morning, the drainage was pretty bad. SO, I had to make the appointment for him, he cannot return to school without a doctor's note anyhow. He needed one even if he had allergies. So we have note in hand that he can return to the school on Monday, he will have drops then for almost 72 hours. That makes him non contagious. Hopefully, he won't have any reaction to these drops. He had a reaction to a drop that he was given 5 years ago, POLYTRIM. It has a sulfa base, so I am thinking that he may be allergic to the sulfa base. My mother is allergic to sulfa, my dad was to pennecillian, as am I, my husband has regular allergies, hayfever type and to some other stuff, but not to meds. So, that has been my day. Nothing major, nothing exciting. Hope all have a great weekend.

My niece has pink eye, my daughter has a sinus infection, I am allergic to penicillan and I can hold a grudge for days, weeks, months , years. My sister speaks of keeping the peace where she and her husband are concerned. Yep, it's a small world after all.
Sad to say this, I think this is why we were made as women, to keep the peace. Just a couple days before our anniversary (was March 14), Rob and I had a HUGE blowup. But, since then, it's like we're on our honeymoon again, even though it's now 10 years.
Sorry to hear sickness is around again. It'll keep going until the temps level off. Hopefully mine doesn't catch anything!
