Sorry folks, I have been a bad blog buddy, and a bad blogger! I have been reading most of your blogs, but haven't been commenting. I haven't blogged since the end of last week either. So, that makes me BAD, very BAD! Some of you have switched to the "new version" of blogger, I can't comment on those blogs until I go through the "old" sign in process. Which means that I have to either make a comment to those who don't have the "new" blogger, or make a comment on my own blog, or make a new post. So, sometimes I want to comment, I just don't have the time to go through the rigamaroll. I promise, though, I do read.
Now with that out of the way, let's move on. Tomorrow is the day that Scott and I go into the City to get his results. I am hoping for a good one, a very good report! I am also hoping that the docs can get him into a trial or a study involving the maintenence drug, because, we will never ever be able to afford it and keep our house, electricity, and food on the table for the rest of Scott's life. Our copay, as we have figured out, will be 1200, yes 1200 dollars, AMERICAN, not Canadian, not EUROS, or any other brand of money out there, per month. That is basically another mortgage payment. Not happening at this residence. SO we are hoping that we won't need to figure out a way to pay for this horrible copay. There is no way that he isn't going on the drug, it will prolong his life and keep the Myeloma at bay, so there really is no choice, we will find a way to get the drug. I may have to go to work just to pay for it, at a supermarket or something, just to get the money in the house. I may also have to clean houses in my spare time or something like that, but whatever we need to do, I will pitch in to do it. No questions asked. I just hope that there is a study or something that will help lower the cost of the drug, so that my kids can continue their activities and the like. Otherwise, my sons will become my daughter's babysitters, on a permanent basis, after school. But, that is neither here nor there, I will worry about that whenever I need to!
I do clean houses for my spending money, not a bunch, just a few, it doesn't really cover much, and I usually end up spending it on household stuff, bread, milk, whatever is needed or wanted in a pinch.
I guess I just worry too much. We will get by, and that is that!
On a brighter note, we have desperatedly needed a new mattress for a couple of years. Saturday evening, we purchased one from the JCPENNY Home Store. They were having a great sale, and with a delivery charge, it wasn't that expensive. They even take away the old one for free! I am glad, because it would be sitting in the street waiting for the sanitation dept to send someone out to pick it up. It could take weeks, and that isn't acceptable.
I just hope that my "old" sheets fit the new mattress. Sheets are ridiculously expensive! Even when they are on sale! But again, that is neither here nor there!
I guess that is all for now, I must get Cassidy ready and off to school. Havew a great one, make it good!

You got that right - sheets are ridiculously priced! Not to mention the drugs that we need. Something really must be done and I hope for your sake that it is soon.

I also know what you mean about the new blogger rigamarole. I held off for a long time before I switched over. Now, I have to pay attention to every little thing I do so as not to click on the wrong thing. I do see some new features that I like.

Good luck and best wishes.

I'm praying for great news tomorrow Miki! I hope there will be a study or something too. Surely something will be out there to help you all.

Hang in there!

Let us know the test results.
Yeah, we are all bad bloggers at one time or another. It'll pass.
I have no idea what sheets cost. But like everything else I am sure that it is a lot more than they are worth.
