Did you ever wonder why oh why people start Christmas shopping the day after Christmas? I used to, but now, with only 6 days to go, and my shopping isn't done, I think those folks are smart. I try to go out earlier every year, and I am usually done by now, but....
Anyhow, thought that I would put that one out there for all to ponder. I have things to buy yet for Christmas dinner too, not much, but some fresh produce. I don't want to buy it too early, then I will be out of luck. I went to Costco yesterday (a warehouse club like Sam's or B. J.'s, don't be insulted, I am not sure if it is nationwide or just an east coast thing.) I did some grocery shopping, for the week and added items. I tried and tried to get Scott a present, but either the store was sold out of the item or the salesperson in the tool aisle was a little more than indifferent to this person, because of her gender. I was so frustrated when I arrived home that I decided not to persue the item any more, yesterday. I am going to upgrade, to a more pricey item, which is probably what the stores wanted me to do anyway. I just need HAVE TO HAVE NEED WANT to get this item, and I guess that I am now willing to pay more for it!
My house is decorated, I finished the Manger Scene, or the Creche this morning. I even committed the cardinal sin, I put Jesus in between his parents in the barn! It used to be tradition that we hid the baby until Christmas morning, his birthday, so that the kids and grownups alike were reminded physically. what the season was all about. I just don't have the energy to remember where I hide the baby any more! I figure that He is still a physical reminder sitting right there between his parents for all the world to see! Anyhow, that is that for now. Today, I will finish shopping for Scott, and go to the "gingerbread" house building at Cassidy's school. If you want a lowdown on why the quotation marks, see previous post. I promise, the posts will get more interesting as the new year dawns, things here are pretty mundane for now!

If I start right after Christmas then I will have stuck the items away and won't remember where they are for the next year! Then I'd just have to shop all over again. But I am finished and ready! Good luck tomorrow as you look for your item for Scott!
I'm sensing some... uh tightness in your keyboard. Take a deep breath. Go to the garage, grab one of the kids' baseball bats, and go find a SALESMAN WHO CAN HELP YOU!!
Okay, I'm better now.
