The Times they are a Changin'

I was away this weekend, the last baseball tournament of the 2006 season was played by Danile's team in Rehoboth Beach, DE. It was an exciting weekend, to say the least. The kids played their hearts out and we , the fans were treated to a wonderful weekend of baseball. Patrick stayed behind with my sister to play in his football game on Friday. It was weird not having him there, like we were missing an apendage or something. He had a wonderful weekend too, though, he was able to spend some time with mynephew who is home from Thailand, Jordan and parts thereof. He hasn't been home in almost two years, and the boys really idolize him, so Patrick had some "private" time with Tom. Patrick's team won against a tough team, and that made his staying behind worth it for him. I am sorry that we missed that gae=me, but we couldn't send Danny out of state with someone else, I just couldn't do it.

Scott's tandem transplant has been postponed until next week, again, the hospital, the cancer center, the doc and the coordinator didn't communicate. He was never put on the schedule for the transplant for this week. So, we start the whole thing next week, beginning on Monday with a catheter placement. He is handling this better, because he was feeling a little guilty over today being Danny's birthday, thursday being my birthday, and both events falling in the middle of the muddling around that we needed to do. I hate the fact that he will be in the hospital for Halloween, it is not something I wanted to do alone, but when the light goes out here, at la casa Miki, it will be out, no exceptions, period, done. I love Halloween, I just hate that thare are folks out there that are stupid about it. One year, I swear, I had two adults come to my door at 830 at night, dressed in costume. It was scarry, Scott had school, and I was here with the kids, alone. Hopefully, that won't happen again. The boys will be going out and about and will have a set time for getting in, Cassidy and I will walk around right after school, and that will be that. I won't be taking her all over, I just can't do it, so maybe I will borrow my mother in law's Camera, so that I can preserve the event for Scott and all else who want to see. That is all for now, must go and get lunches together for the school children, PBJ all around! Everyone, enjoy these days, Autum and the turning leaves!

I hope all goes well with Scott.

Hard to believe that Halloween will soon be here. I just don't know where the time goes. Yes, do be careful on Halloween!!

Awww it sounds like you had a lovely weekend. I can't rememeber if I read how old your children are.

I wouldn't want to be by myself on Halloween either. It is scary. Scragend may be in England on business then but I will be at a friends. Maybe you should go to a friends.

I hope Scott does ok. Will be thinking of you all next week.

Take care xx

Rachel, yes, it is hard to believe that Halloween is going to be here in a little more than a week, still have to run out to the store to get the costume for the girly girl, the boys go as the costume of choice fo r teens and pre teens, themselves, with shaving cream in their hair. Go figure!

Britmum(JoJo,) Scott will be fine, we have done this before, but he will be bored out of his mind! He will vbe coooped up for 2 solid weeks, ao watch out! The kids are Patrick, 13, Daniel, 11(now,) and Cassidy 5.
For both of you, we had a wonderful weekend, and I forgot to mention that they took the title, brought home the big trophy! So it was worth the travel even without the trophy. Delaware is my favorite place to go to play a tournament, so it is usually the best tournament when we are there!
Thanks for the well wishes, Scott will appreciate knowing that others are thinking of him, I will update as the time draws closer!

I hope your Birthday was a good one.
I'm envious of your baseball tourney. That brings back a lot of fond memories for me. I loved coaching.
Give my best to Scott. I hope this will soon be a faded memory for all of you.
