Recovering

WOW! Is it Thursday again? Already? I cannot believe that this week has flown by....Last weekend really flew by and we enjoyed our time away, but the weather was not BASEBALL weather. Windy and cold, windy and cold. We were very suprised at the weather "down south." No one was absolutely prepared, but still we had a great time. I feel as if I am still playing catch up and it is almost the end of the week again! Going, going, going. I think that Friday is the only day that we have nothing planned, and even that is a stretch. So far, though, the weather here hasn't been too great, we have had rain for two days, and my older son has had two baseball games rescheduled, the younger one was lucky, tonite is his first game since the tournament.
OH! By the way, the team came in second in their age group, not bad for the first tournament of the year!
THings else going on, my nephew hurt himself over the weekend, he is 11. Actually, he is the son of Scott's sister in law. His brother's wife. The little guy flipped over the handlebars of his bike, caught his abdomen on the edge of the bars, and did a lot of dammage. He has some internal lacerations that caused some internal bleeding. The docs are taking a "wait it out" type of position, so that he has a chance to heal a little before they go in and do the repairs. It is scarry, the thing we all worry about is head injury, we scream,"WEAR YOUR HELMET!" all of the time at our young ones, but here the kid was wearing a helmet, no head injuries, but bleeding internally. He is in the ICU and we may go to visit this Friday evening, he may be up to visitors at that point, and both parents are encouraging others to come to see him.
So, that is my week, sorry it is mundane, and that I have nothing exciting to report.

That's a horrible thing to have happen. I'll say a prayer for him, and hope that he gets better soon.

Ugh! The poor boy and his parents. Hopefully because he is so young the body will heal quickly.

Tell him we people out in blogworld are thinking of him and wishing him a speedy recovery.

Those nasty bicycle wrecks. Ouch. Hope he gets okay.
