He's Home

Update! Scott came home on Saturday! I was releived and scared all at the same time, but each day gets better. He is walking with his crutches, for the most part, but has a walker. He was told to use what ever made him feel comfortable, so now Scott uses the crutches more often than the walker. His incision is still stapled, and the staples will probably come out when he sees the doctor on Thursday. Their is still drainage, but normal is what we are told. I guess when the staples come out, is when he can shower. For now, sponge bath city is the way to wash. We are dealing with everything as it comes. We are over the major hurdle of the hip and will deal with the BIGGER stuff soon. Each day is a new adventure here at the house, but it flows along, and will keep on flowing. Throughout this the kids have been very well behaved and very helpful. They have their moments, as all kids do, but for the most part they will come through this unscathed. We are trying to make "normal" here.

Have been out of town all week. Was relieved to get back in touch with the world and hear that Scott is home. That's a major hurdle behind you all. More to come, I know, but one at a time you'll get there.
