Hey to all, we had a great time in DE, and the weather, except Friday was great! The boys have no "hardware" to show for the tournament as they lost on Sunday's playoff. They went into Sunday with the number one seed, and lost the second playoff game by one run to a tough team: The Riverdogs from DE. We enjoyed our weekend though, as I am sure that the boys did, a lot of fun, laughter and bonding. THe kids really laughed and played other than baseball. We are all a little kissed by the sun and wind, but not for the worst. Tired and a little sluggish today, laundry day and really nothing else. We opted not to stay behind for an extra night, because Patrick has a scheduled game today at a nearby town, so we can all get into the truck and go see him play for a change!
Now, I have been tagged! Just a Mom, Jaye, has tagged me with the Question:
Why did you start blogging?
My uncomplicated, complicated answer is that I just wanted to. My friend RIck, who never ever updates or reads blogs any longer started blogging before me. He sent me an email and had a link to his blog attached to it. I read his entries, loved the ideas and the fact that he was "out there" and published. It seemed so very cool to be able to creat something! WOW! This was for me! So I did. I wrote my first entry with very nervous thoughts and it grew from there. I then began to use it as a kind of therapy session, me conversing with the computer screen. I wrote about my hopes, dreams and fears regarding anything and everything . I especially wrote about my husband's illness. It was so very important for me to get things down on "paper" as it was, and the need to get out what I was feeling. I felt comforted knowing that my whole world wasn't crumbling, even though I had that feeling, I felt that there were folks out there that didn't know me, helping me by listening to and reading my woes. I needed to cry on my own, but never could, I couldn't show my fears openly because I was frightened that if I did, they might come true. I was happy to share my news with everyone, and glad that I had those out there in cyberspace.
So there you have it! That is why I started.
Now Tag you are it!
I have to choose three and Just a mom chose one of my three.
so,

Hey. Not a problem with the tag. However, I might not get to it until a few days from now. Someone else tagged me last week that I haven't done yet either. I have WAY TOOOOOOO MUCH TO DO and NOT ENOUGH TIME to do it. After next week, break for the summer.
Well I will tell you that the words you wrote were what caught my heart and why I am still here. Only now I/we get to hear your laughter and your joy in life. Thanks for playin.
I thought I felt somebody tap me on the shoulder.
Why did I start blogging?
Good gravy, it's been so long that I can't remember.
Short answer - because I can.
Long answer - I want to make a contribution to society by sharing my warped sense of humor in the hopes that someday I might take all of my entries and turn them into a book and make enough money that I can live the rest of my life in Paradise sipping on Pina Coladas.
Sounds like you had a great weekend and a very good reason to start blogging.
Ralph
