Today dawned sunny, clear and COLD! It is supposed to warm up though, so we will wait and see. We had a heck of a storm on Friday, dumped a few inches of snow/ice on Long Island. I guess that it is winter's last hurrah before spring. Let's hope that it is, anyhow.
I watched a lot of tv this weekend, and noticed that my unfavorite commercials still exist. The BURGER KING has a new commercial out there to scare the masses again. The gieco with the celebrity "helpers" are still on, and the endless "refinance" with us commercials. I refuse to buy anything from Burger King. I hate that guy dressed up in the king costume, with the plastic mask. It is frightening. I remember having nightmares about things as a kid. If I were a kid these days, I would have incredible nightmares with the king as the subject matter.
Scott finished the taxes, and I will be mailing the returns out within the next couple of days. I don't want to pay the IRS $25 for the privledge of efiling. Scott doesn't trust the efiling system, he feels that our personal information is out there for the cyberworld to get their mitts on, so no way for us. Whatever, for me it is about the money.
Daniel finished his science project/report, so Scott let him off of his punishment. I still won't allow any playtime Monday-Thursday, after school. It gives him incentive to finish his homework and to spend some time on studying for tests. I have had to crack down to this to make him understand that school is the most important thing in your life. He can go out on Friday afternoon, play all day on Saturday and Sunday, but with all of the other activities going on in his life: baseball, practice, and games, basketball games and the like, he needs to crack down and get studying. I am not driving to and fro summer school. No way, no how!
I have been slowly going through things for the big Yard Sale: now keep a good thought on this one, we need good weather and good traffic to get people to get out there and buy our stuff for themselves! I have two terrible piles of stuff that will be put out for the sale, and will find more as the week drowns on. I told you all that I went through Cassidy's room and got a huge bag of garbage and several bags of toys and stuffed animals out, so those will sell. I also must go through the stuff in the basement, but have already run out of containers to put the stuff into.
Off to do laundry and I think that I must dust the living room over the next couple of days. I also have a dentist appointment in another 2 hours, so toodles for now!

It seems my life is just as hectic as your's is, but I've only got ONE child. See, I've always told everyone Cassi is a crowd all by herself. Good luck with the yard sale. Hope you get good buyers and good weather.
Good luck with the yard sale! It is FREEZING here!
Cxx
I need to have a yard sale too. Makes me tired to think about it though! Soon they'll be popping up all over the place with the warmer weather returning.
I hate commercials! I hate the geico ones with the celebrities and the stupid cave man ones. I like the green lizard though. He's cute!
I hate the Burger King ad too but I can't help but love the Geico ad. I love to see if they are going to smile everytime. I know I am a sad fool.
I hope the wheather gets better for you soon.
Yard sale sounds great.
Take care xx
You're right on the BK commercials. He needs a bat between those plastic eyes.
Save a couple of tables for me and I'll bring a semi trailer load of stuff.
