Things at La Casa Miki haven't been the same since the "bug" flew through. Patrick was down for the count on Wed evening through Thursday. He was home from school and was really not himself. Yesterday, he was back to his normal smart alecky teen ager stuff. His throat is still scratchy, though. That I will keep an eye on, streph throat is no joke, and I have had it enough to be a witness to that. I just think for him though, it is a case of left over stuff from the bug, with a post nasal drip causing the scratchiness. I am hoping that things will be back to normal in the sickness area soon! Hopefully it will warm up enough for the heat to go off and the windows to be opened to kill whatever germs haven't been killed by my disenfecting. (She says with a disenfectant wipe in her hand) no, seriously, I feel as if I have been growing them out of my hands, wipe the faucets the surfaces and the toilets several times a day, to no avail, people are still getting sick around here! UGH!
I must appologize to Roger, I haven't yet included him on my daily reads list, I will after I post this post. He has a great church and his blog is all about the goings on in the ministry and the good works that his church do on a daily basis. Love reading about it, and it is worth it for those of you who are out there to read it too! And I do apologize for not including him in my estimates of readership!
Now, for those of you that have or have had middle school aged BOYS, HELP! My middle school aged sixth grader is on a serious track to be bereft of his life! He got three progress reports home this weekend! UGHHHHHH! The last to arrive was sitting in his notebook for over a week, hidden from Mom and Dad for reasons that didn't need to be explained. He has been steadily making up math, science and English homework since 4pm yesterday! He finally finished what was available to him at 3:30 pm today. He spent 5 hours yesterday, and 6 hours today! I am in the same room as he is during the homework time here. I am watching him do homework, but in total, for the past two months, he had 13 assignments missing! How does that happen????? I am now going to be the warden at the jail. I will read every scrap of paper that he works on every day after school. He is starting to bring home every book from his locker for every subject, on Monday.
That is all for this Saturday, sorry for the complaits! Oh, and we started to look at fixtures and furnishings for the main bathroom that is falling apart at the seams here! More on another day!
