Thanks Rachel!

Does everyone remember this one from their childhood?

Monday's child is fair of face,
Tuesday's child is full of grace,
Wednesday's child is full of woe,
Thursday's child has far to go
,Friday's child is loving and giving
,Saturday's child works hard for a living,
But the child that's born on the Sabbath dayIs bonny, blithe, good and gay.

This is from my blogger friend, Rachel go and visit her at: www.slidingthroughlife.blogspot.com

She, as many of you know, has some really great things to say and takes great photos too!
Thanks, Rachel, you brought back some great memories from yesteryear with this one, so, I thought that I would give you a plug!

OOOh! I get to be the first for this comment. I am a Saturday child. I remember this because my mom had charms of these, Saturday for me and Thursday for Marie (my sister). I believe it's VERY true. I do work hard for a living. Thanks for the remembering!

Oh, WOE is me!

One of my favorites has always been:

If a child lives with criticism, He learns to condemn.

If a child lives with hostility, He learns to fight.

If a child lives with ridicule, He learns to be shy.

If a child lives with shame, He learns to be guilty.

If a child lives with tolerance, He learns to be patient.

If a child lives with encouragement, He learns confidence.

If a child lives with praise, He learns to appreciate.

If a child lives with fairness, He learns justice.

If a child lives with security, He learns to have faith.

If a child lives with approval, He learns to like himself.

If a child lives with acceptance and friendship, He learns to find love in the world. - Anonymous

I'm a Tuesday person myself, but I doubt that I'm full of grace. Full of something else, maybe, but not grace :)

Guess that solves the matter of whether being gay is a genetic thing. Obviously it's not - it comes from being born on a Saturday!!!

Thanks Miki!! My Mom used to recite this little poem. I am a Friday child. I try to be loving and giving. :)

You have a wonderful weekend!!

Glad this brought back memories for you!! I always love it when someone brings back memories for me, so that is a very good thing.

I'd never heard it before Rachel posted it. I don't know what day I was born on. I can narrow it down to 7 days. Rachel is the real deal isn't she. One of my favorites no doubt!!!!!!
