One Year, 100 Posts

Well, well well. As Peruby pointed out, I did miss my one year blogging anniversary. I guess, with everything going on, I didn't realize that it was a year ago this month, March, that I started blogging. It started out as a creative outlet for me, but turned into self therapy. This is a place I can go to, to shed the facade of strength, to voice my fears, to cry on paper. I have always done that better with the written word, than the spoken one. You see, my house was one of secrets, growing up, so when I was afraid, when my parents would argue, or my Dad would get drunk, I would write in my little diary, or escape to Nancy Drew. That helped, and honestly, I have been reading quite a lot through this whole ordeal with Scott. I enjoy reading, it relaxes and helps me to cope. I also enjoy writing, it relaxes and helps me to cope. So, they are on the same wavelength. I enjoy Blogging, it is an easy escape, and I feel as though, many folks have come to know me across the country, as a result of it,and I feel that I have come to know them, it has been a blast for the first year. I guess I will keep blogging, and maybe not so much about Scott and the Myeloma. We have to wait 100 days for the official results of the transplant, so now on through the time zone we march.
He is doing well though, we went to the doc yesterday and his counts are doing well, his only real restrictions are: No really crowded places, and if we go out to eat, no raw veggies and no fresh fruit. If he wants raw veggies at home, they must be washed better than well. I guess I can wash and rewash and rewash the veggies, it is a small price to pay to have him home.
This will be in place until around Easter, so that is that.
And on another note: This is my 101st post, so I guess I fibbed in the title.

101 and still going - congratulations. The next milestone is Scott's 100 days - we're praying for the outcome you're all looking for.

I know what you mean about getting to know a lot of people. I think it's because we don't spend any time getting ready to look right, dress right, or act right to meet up with someone. I guess we all 'cut to the chase'. I really think we get to know some people better than we would in person. There is a certain amount of security in the net.
God's blessing to all of you.

I can relate to escaping to a life of fantasy when the drunks started.

Congratulations on your blogging anniversary. Mine is coming up in July! Wow! It doesn't seem that long.

I always wash my veggies. I was avocados even though I skin them, oranges, triple washed lettuce in packs, because I have heard of kids getting E. coli from them even though they are triple washed. I think I am a little neurotic about it.

It's ok. You can fib a little, too. (After all, it is your blog! lol)

Miki,
Congratulations on one year blogging. It is a great escape when you're kinda stuck at home. Glad Scott is at home.
