Just a few observations here. I am wondering, why does the word "SNOW" frighten so many people? Here on Long Island, population more than a million, "SNOW" means run, not casually drive, but at the speed of light, to the store. Stock up on everything that you could possibly need for the next six, not a few days, mond you, but, six months. You never know, you may run out of canned food! What a sin, since the roads will never be opened again. PLEASE PEOPLE! Think about it, we pay tons of taxes, we have budgets for snow removal! Hello, if you don't need thirteen gallons of milk in one day, don't buy it! The store will be open tomorrow, I promise. Today the grocers are restocking the milk, the bread, the eggs. Maybe not the bread, the major bakeries don't work on monday, so we will have to wait until tomorrow to get the WONDER BREAD. Chickens lay eggs in the snow, I swear, I have talked to people who know. Maybe that is a story for the supermarket tabloids, a blazing headline: "CHICKENS LAY EGGS IN THE SNOW." They could run it right next to the story:"COWS PRODUCE MILK IN POOR WEATHER." Nobody would believe that it was true! Seriously, I just don't get it, if you need milk, get it, snow or no snow. If you don't need it, wait until the snow is over, and guess what, lo and behold, it will be there. It is scarry that we have all of this technology to forecast the weather, to broadcast it out there, to watch it in our living rooms, but we are still afraid to get snow. Stay inside, keep warm, clear your driveway, watch the snow fall. Milk, bread and eggs will bethere when the roads are clear. Listen to the extended weather, they predict warm temps toward the middle of the week! You are going to get out to the store when you need to, I promise!
Thanks Jamie Dawn for inspiring this post. I told you it was the stuff that posts are made of!

I've been hoping the snow didn't get to you. I agree with the grocery store and pending storms. We live at the end of 9 miles of rock road, so we are snowed in occasionally for a few days at a time. But not often. later, c
Sounds exactly like what happens here in Michigan when an impending winter storm warning is announced.
Ha! It's true here too. They give a winter storm warning and the grocery stores get flooded with people. You'd think it never snowed before!!
Wow. I was thinking when I read the title to your post we were going to get a great "ice-cream snow" recipe.
Let me know when to put the cake on Miki.
Miki, thanx for stopping by and the comment. There's no explaining people. Is there. It seems critical thinking is dying an ugly death. :)
Yeah it is true here as well but around here we go to the next level - long lines at the gas pumps. Now think about it - if you have a full tank of gas doesn't it seen to make sense you could drive to the store. Don't quite understand it.
Good Post

Just a little comment to let you know I added you to my links. Hope you don't mind.

I'm praying we hear a 'good report' blog from you, about the last few days of your life.
