Yesterday was a busy day. Scott and I went into the hospital for his pre op tests. They did bloodwork, asked a ton of questions, did an EKG, asked a ton more questions, had a PA examine him, he asked a ton more of the same questions , took a list of his meds, asked more questions, and then an anesthesiologist came in to examine him, she again asked more of the same questions, took a list of the meds, asked for his medical clearance letter, which we didn't have, what the heck? We took the fax number and then it was over. So far everyone that we have encountered in relation to the hip replacement has been super nice, we haven't felt rushed or that we were idiots. That to me is important. My father in law is taking the ride tomorrow with us to see the "king" of myeloma. This is the doc that will be doing the stem cell transplant. We are going in for a follow up to see where we are at with the time frame on this one. My father in law has offered to be "available" whenever I need to get in to the city to see Scott. That took a weight off of my shoulders. I did notice that there were many bus stops near the hospital, so if I had to do that I would. Just would have to study the bus routes before hand!
I would like to thank Roger for his kind words and his offer to help, and by his extention, the help of his church. It is very kind of you to offer! I was in a state of panic the other day, as is usual, these days, but after reflecting (yes, praying too!) things really did work out. Sometimes I need to feel terribly alone to find that I am not. I do know that I am not, but sometimes the brain shuts off and I get a little insane. I think that is called a temporary condition. Hopefully I won't get this way too often, but if I do, please bear with me.
Cathy, as always, I love your kind words of encouragement! Whenever I need them your cyberhugs are there! Love You, and I haven't even met ya!
Just a Mom, you are a great pen pal. I know you have your own things going on right now, but thank you for taking the time to write!
Bob, as always, you are a great encourager. Your kind words help at anytime!
That is all for now, must run someone to "Exra Help."
