FINALLY, a whole 2 days with sun! I cannot believee it! My mood has been uplifted substantially, it is amazing. This past week was terrible, so very terrible. You can't imagine. We had so much rain, enough for two months worth. I guess Mother Nature was making up for the drought that we had in the summer. The winds came with the rains, and the winds really never left. That is ok though, I will take the wind over rain anyday. We lost a tree branch from the neighbor's tree. It was an overhanging branch, one that just hung inour yard, and thank goodness it didn't hit the fence, the dogs or the kids. My father in law is going to come over and take it down all of the way, since Scott can't do htat sort of thing right now.
Here are some things that went on this weekend. Patrick's football game was cancelled on Friday night, can't imagine why, unless you wanted the 7th and 8th graders to play in scuba gear. He also came home from school on Friday early, so that was a blessing in disguise. I took him to the doctor, Saturday am really early, because the office wouldn't let me bring him out after 3 (the time we got home from chemo.) So, his diagnosis, pink eye, conjunctivitis for those of you who need the med term, left eye, and a double ear infection. He was stuffy, and complained of a sore throat, but ears, Patrick never complains or complained of ear pain or fullness. He was my ear infection child, without any complaints ever. But on a good note he hasn't had one since he was a toddler. Then we took Daniel for a Birthday present. He really needed a new bicycle, his is ridiculously small, seeing as he did get it for his birthday 4 years ago. He had a full blown tantrum, I thought he was going to fall on the floor 2 year old style, in the bike aisle in Walmart. We left the store with no bicycle, needless to say, and with two very angry parents. It was caused by the fact that he didn't want a "mountain" bike, he wanted a "trick" bike" I don't know the difference, except that the trick bike was smaller than the bike that he owned! Anyhow, he spent the day in his room, punished. We were livid. That evening, we were all invited to go out to dinner with Scott's parents, his brother and family and his Aunt and Uncle visisting from Ohio. Their visit was brief, they left yesterday, bu tit was nice to see them again. Scott really misses his uncle. I don't want to say his favorite uncle, but Uncle Buzz is very special to him, I have known that since we were dating. I think Scott needed to reconnect, ever so briefly with
Uncle Buzz. ( I don' know why, bu tmy computer has started to underline at this point, so please bear with me)
Then on Sunday we attempeted and did get the bicycle for Daniel, on his real birthday. He really loves his new bike, and we can't and he can't explain the tantrum thing. He wantedtacos for dinner, so I needed to get a few things fo rthat, and then had to spiffy up, people were comming here for cake and coffee. I was tired by the time everyone left.
So now I must close, but I will try to post a picture before I go, that Uncle Buzz took of Daniel and myself, it probably appears at the top of the page.

Yes, my daughter HAD to have a trick bike for her birthday last April. Tantrums abound all around with the teenage years. Sigh. Living through it right along with you, in Ohio.
