I haven't written for a few days, I know, slacker that I am, but oh well! I haven't and still don't have much to say, I guess I am in a writing rut, been there before, and I hate being there. Sometimes the "experts" (so called,) say that you should just write, even if it is a grocery list, just take pencil and paper in hand and write words, and that helps. No way, I look down, and guess what? POOF! a grocery list, so what the heck did I do, something I could have done when I was ready to go to the grocery store! I read other blogs when this happens, some from people I know, some from searching blogger. I have to say, I am amazed at the amount of blogs out there that are in languages other than English! But, I digress, those, I obviously cannot read, but I do look at the design of them and would love to learn how to do that. Again, I don't even know how to change my links, I have a few I would like to put on here, but, well, I can't I am computer illiterate!
HELP!
Anyhow, my middle child is being a bit strange these days, he is obsessed with wearing pants. It hasn't been cool enough for him to do that yet, the classrooms must be hotter than hot, but he must, and I mean, MUST wear pants. Not cotton pants either, long, hot denim blue jean pants! We go round and round about this every morning. It is a running arguement! Some mornings he tells me he has NO shorts to wear, and lo and behold, I seem to find 4 pair! Then he wants to wear pants that are too big, I tell him to put on a belt, he doesn't have one he says! Yesterday, he was wearing a nice pair of jeans, kind of cargo like, and he had hitting practice at his manager's house in the afternoon. He was going to wear those nice jeans, to practice, until my husband bellowed at him to put on shorts. The practice was wear what you want, not the practice uniform, because it was only a hitting practice. But I just don't get it, he would rather sweat and swelter than be comfortable? Mind you he is a great kid, but when he is uncomfortable,he isn't very pleasant! In that regard, he is much like his mommy!
I had a difficult time getting to sleep last night, nothing on my mind, just couldn't get comfortable. Finally, I went to the couch, which isn't the most comfy piece of furniture, and fell asleep in a strange position, I still feel it in my neck. I went to bed at 1am, after waking up, so I think I was there for a couple of hours. Now, I feel as if I am walking underwater, I can't wake up.
That about sums up what is on the platter at Miki's house. Nothing special going on. Just living each day.

More (((HUGS))) !!!
I had to LOL regarding your son and his pants. My advice? You know I'll give it to you....LOL :) Let him wear the pants (except for b-ball/hitting practice - that's a different story). He may just be more comfortable (emotionally) having his legs covered up for what ever reason....peer pressure, maturation changes with his legs/leg hair, or even "just" emotional turmoil going on with everything that surrounds his Dad....? You just never know. It's a stage. Don't battle with him - it's not worth it. This, too shall pass. (Except insist on shorts for practice, of course!)
My thoughts are with you.
Cathy
Cathy,
I usually give in to him, but the weather has been so warm and the classrooms are so hot, Meet the teacher night proved that, last week. He even wants to wear pants on the weekend to mow the lawn! We went through this with him in preschllo, he was insane abouyt this one pair of pants, and GOD help me if it wasn't the one that one pair of pants! So now it is just pants. This morning it is breakfast. He has the "I don't wants." I ignore it and it does go away. Testing the boundaries, that is allit is! He is too funny, and we love his antics! Thanks for the hugs, keep them comming! I know they are working!
LOL :-)
