Computer Illiterate

There is something to be said for this new crop of kids! They are computer literate, I on the other hand am lucky that I can publish my posts and comments and open emails. I try to read reread and follow directions, but when it comes down to it, I just can't do any of the fun stuff associated with the computer. I emailed my friend Rick, just to get it, I mean really get it,on how to put new links on my blog. I couldn't understand the plain speak of the instructions, I didn't get it, just didn't. It is sad that a woman of my intelligence and aptitude just falls flat when it comes to the technical stuff. I feel like the woman of 20 years ago who called car parts whatsists and thingamajiggies. Computers are all whatsists and thingamajiggies to me, I need someone to come over and spend hours making me "do" the things that I need to do, while they stand there and try to explain it.
If my savior is out there, come to my rescue, but be prepared, just hold your ears, I will be screaming, crying, and yelling at you, when I don't get it, it won't be pretty! My English Degree doesn't make it easy for the technical to creep in! And, beware, the fancy words and language that I know, out the window, I resort to the deep gutter speak when I am frustrated! I didn't come from a house of professors, I came from a blue collar cursing house, so we are what we are!
But seriously, this is the reality, I am not as well versed as I pretend to be, so bear with me, I am a work in progress, trying to make progress, and trying to be more progresssive!
